Clinical Information and Knowledge Management

The typical primary care physician has an average of ten questions that go unanswered every day.

TouchWorks provides a mobile library of reference and patient care information on a Tablet PC or handheld PDA device. TouchWorks reference materials include:

  • Drug reference guides, based on the well-known Gold Standard Multimedia drug information database
  • Leading urgent care pediatric reference
  • An innovative atlas of full color illustrations to help physicians teach patients
  • An atlas to assist in teaching patients rehabilitation exercises

Icons in TouchWorks indicate the presence of a medication reference in one or more of our reference titles. Clicking on the icon takes the user to the appropriate information on the specific medication on disease state.

TouchWorks also includes an evidence-based database called PIER™ (Physicians’ Information and Education Resource). Developed and maintained by the American College of Physicians-American Society of Internal Medicine (ACP-ASIM), PIER enables physicians to earn up to 10 hours of Category 1 CME credit for accessing this evidence-based medicine information through TouchWorks.
